Wandsworth Road is situated just outside of London Victoria on a main arterial route for Passenger services to Kent. It also sees large volumes of Freight traffic running to and from S.E. London, Kent and the Channel Tunnel. Cars, Enterprise, Aggregates and Engineers traffic were the main flows and before most Freight services were 'Shedded' there was a huge variety of 'Classic' Traction to be seen including 33s,37s,47s,56s,58s and 73s

I usually avoided Wandsworth Road on a Monday as it was a quieter day for Freight however the news came that 47s were soon finishing on Freights with RFD. A working i hadn't fotted was the MO train of China Clay from Exeter Riverside-Dollands Moor. This is the only shot i have of this train in very poor light running 45 mins late. Note the leading 47 has a Blue Tinsley Rose crest and Nameplate
